President's Message

Ann_Rebgetz.png

Dear Colleagues

I hope you were all able to enjoy some personal relaxing time with your friends and family over the term break and I hope Term 3 has begun well for you.

I hope you will enjoy this Conference edition of the CaSPA Newsletter. Included this month are three keynote presentations from Fr Frank Brennan (University of Melbourne), Paul Kidson & HeeRa Ko (ACU) and Sally Egan (NCEC). In addition there is a gallery of photos from the Conference.

My sincere thanks to Michael Lee and the Catholic Principals in Canberra for agreeing to host the conference when we had to shift it from Perth at fairly short notice earlier this year. A big thank you to all the people involved in the organising of the Conference. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

I would also like to acknowledge all of our keynote speakers and thank them for the amazing work they had done to prepare their talks and I appreciated their willingness to allow us to publish their presentation. Similarly, a huge thank you to all the Catholic Leaders who prepared a Workshop for the conference.

Prior to the Conference it was wonderful for the caSPA Board to hold its annual meeting with the 8 State and Territory Associations. There were many topics discussed and a great sense of unity at the meeting. Many thanks to those Chairs and executive Officers who were able to attend.

The next CaSPA conference will be in Perth in 2024 and I am sure we all look forward with excitement at the opportunity to gather together once again to celebrate our work as Principals.

Blessings to all

Ann Rebgetz - President

CaSPA is delighted to announce a partnership with ACPPA to launch the Principal Well-being App - ACPConnect. You will have received an invitation to login to the App. Please check your Inbox and Junk Box for the invitation.

With the concerning statistics that have come to light since the Principal Occupational Health and Wellbeing Survey began 11 years ago, it is vital that we work together to provide action and practical tools about principal well-being.

This free health and wellbeing portal is for all Catholic Primary and Secondary Principals across Australia.

Every Principal should have received a personal login to begin accessing resources relevant to them.

Check out the ACPConnect homepage: https://acpconnect.com.au/
